Long Abstract The Interactive Knowledge Stack (IKS) is an open source community that aims to bring semantic technologies to CMS platforms. This community ships products like VIE, CreatePHP, CreateJS and Stanbol.

TYPO3 Phoenix is early adaptor of the project. Within this early adaption program we implement VIE, and plans to make use of CreatePHP and Stanbol too. At the moment of writing this is still under development, but it's planned to be in TYPO3 Phoenix before october 2012.

During this session we will explain to you what the IKS Project is, and demonstrate the semantic capabilities we add to TYPO3 Phoenix.

Henri Bergius

Henri Bergius, a.k.a. Bergie, is a former Viking originally from the Nordic country of Finland but living in Berlin. When he is not exploring Georgia’s cave cities or running with the bulls in Pamplona, Bergie works on web services built on top of the Midgard toolkit. His company, Nemein, provides web and mobile solutions for several major companies in Finland and abroad.

After half a decade of regular web development, Bergie got involved with free software in 1999 by coordinating the public release of the Midgard content management system. Since then, he has been actively working on integrating standards like RDFa into the system and traveling the world advocating interoperation between open-source CMSs.

Rens Admiraal

Rens Admiraal is a freelance webdeveloper / developer coach, also working as Senior Software Architect at Beech Applications.

Around the age of 14 Rens started 'developing' by analizing code snippets on ancient computers. By just accepting new challenges Rens learnt multiple languages, and worked on a wide variety of web projects. Now Rens is a FLOW3 / TYPO3 Phoenix Core member and works mostly on the javascript part.

Working at multiple agencies Rens as seen how development can be done in a structured or completely unstructered ways. This slowly moved attention from only development to continues integration, testing and code quality. Now Rens helps integrating development environments enabling / learning developers to work with clean code, and (automatically) giving the developer feedback he needs to improve his skills even more.

Rens lives in Ede (Netherlands) with his wife and 3 sons, plays the bass and likes to release some pressure on a (beach)volleyball field.
